Geocache Description:

I'm sure it is no secret that Gaz'n'Kab have been aiming to break a special record in Queensland - The longest geostreak in our great state.

Be it good luck or good planning, they managed to attempt this feat over a leap year and such will tick all 366 boxes, one for each date of the year, in one streak. So grab your pen and mark your diary with 21 April to celebrate their 366th and final day of their streak. They are a long way ahead of anyone else in the state for this statistic, so I think should be congratulated.

We will meet at 10:00 for lunch and a chat. There will be an FTF draw so make sure to grab a ticket from me as you arrive. This will just be a casual event.

Also this event will be a good chance to hear all the stories from the Mega event for those of us who wanted to go but didn't. Please also, any newcomers to the sport feel more than welcome to come along, put faces to names and ask any questions you may have.

There are no electric barbecues at the day area in Daisy Hill, however that's never stopped us taking our own before. So come armed with a few snags for lunch and soak up the social atmosphere. There are toilets and drinking water available. If you have a table and/or chairs, please bring them as the benches there are limited.

The Koala Centre is open from 10:00 until 4:00 daily and well worth a look. There are also many kilometres of walking tracks through some beautiful bushland and of course several geocaches to be found. I will ensure all the closeby geocaches have been maintained prior to the event.

After the event (maybe about 14:00) I will be tackling the nearby MTB Madness (GC1J639). If you wish to join me, feel free to drop me a line.
