Back in the 1920s there was a local sports event that put the Rose Bowl to shame: The Altadena-Mt. Wilson Automobile Race!
Using the old Mt. Wilson toll road, contestants would tear up the mountain at a break neck pace. Frank Benedict set the record in 1922 by completing the 10 mile climb in 22 minutes.
One mile into the race, a careless driver taking the hairpin too fast would have likely ended up wrapped around one of the trees on this flat.
The cache container itself is NOT water-tight, so make sure all items are left in one of the enclosed water-tight containers or Ziplocs.
