Come visit the ducks and Honk! Traditional Cache
TheSA cousins: Sorry, I think Honk may have moved on. He loved his time in this lovely park but I think it's time to say goodbye.

When my son was about 4 he found a very small mouse in the drain in our back yard, fighting to stay above water. We scooped him out & immediately he called him Honk! After finally explaining we can't keep him, we found a nice sunny spot in the garden for him to dry out & maybe make a new home. As soon as we put him down the ants were on him, it was very sad to see so I picked him up & flicked all the ants off & took him inside. I agreed we could keep him overnight in a shoe box with tissues next to the heater & in the morning we would take him along to our local park and find a new home for him. I thought we would be doing a burial in the morning but he made it through the night so we took him & found a very nice spot in the bushes right next to a lovely pond & not an ant in sight! We sprinkled some duck pellets around for him @ said "Good bye Honk". Each time we went back to the park we would visit Honks bush & leave a pile of duck pellets. It is now about 5 years & we still call it the Honk park. Through Honks time they have done major renovations to the already beautiful park & ponds & now it is amazing- Cafe, playground, bike paths, ducks, wetlands , BBQ, no toilets (only at the cafe) . The cafe used to sell duck pellets for a dollar as bread is no good for ducks. We actually went to a fodder place & got a big bag of pellets for way cheap as we were always going to a park with ducks, kept a Tupperware in the boot just for Honk! Come and enjoy a visit to Honks Park! The cache has been replaced as it was muggled. It it still very close by ( within 1.5m) but has now changed appearances to an 80 ml container in a good little hiding place!! Hope this lasts, PLEASE HANDLE WITH CARE! You will need to bring a writing tool.
