Geocache Description:

Located on a headland, near Scarborough, North Yorkshire.

The cache is hidden in rocks on Osgodby Point. It's well above the high water mark, but access to it may not be possible at high tide.

Getting there involves a scramble over rocks some of which can be slippery. It's easy enough to walk a dog there, but it may be more than small children can cope with. Please note, the location is an active seacliff and suffers from occasional rock falls so it may be possible the cache may become 'hidden' on a permanent basis ;-)

From the cache you can see north to Scarborough, and south into Cayton Bay, a popular surfing spot. When the sea is up the views can be spectacular.

Access points are either a long flat walk along Cayton bay, or a very steep set of muddy steps from Filey road in Osgodby, or you can walk along the beach from Cornellian bay tide permitting.

Contents include the usual assortment of stuff plus a high speed serial port (Lava 650), which is no use to me as it lacks Win2k and Linux drivers, but will work with Win9x and NT 4.0. If it's any use to you please take it. I can supply drivers.

Please note, the container is quite small, which limits what can be placed in it.
