Hart Park is truly a gem of Bakersfield. Bring family and friends and specially the kids. There are several caches in and around the park, so pack a picnic basket and make a day of it. There are plenty of tables and BBQ’s available around the park. Check out the peacocks that hang around peacock corner. If you’re lucky, maybe you’ll see the albino peacock. Oh, and don’t forget, the Kern River runs along the edge of the park.
If you look for this cache approaching from Alfred Harrell Highway, you'll pass a couple of pecan trees. But don't hang around or you might go nuts. Enjoy the sound of the Kern River and think about where in life you came from; your roots. Dig around your memory, it can be an uphill battle but it leaves nothing to chance. FTF gets a dollar.
Be careful while on the bike path, riders can approach rather quickly. Park closes at 10PM.
