Geocache Description:

Yon quest takes you to a preform first, then an ammo can. A paddle craft is recommended.

As the name implies, thou shalt be faced with choices along thy journey. From the parking coordinates, thou shalt observe that there is a river, possible belonging to some archaic saint, named John, betwixt thou and the first stage of yon simple, two part multi.

Shouldst thou row, or shouldst thou wade? Shouldst thou elect wading, expecteth that thou shalt likely be eaten by yon dragons of incredible size and fury, which the locals nameth "alligator". Said dragons infect these waters most foully, and canst oft be found snacking on wayward waders. Shouldst thou surviveth yon dragons, know that thy shalt needs fall prey to hordes of vipers with mouths white ath cotton.

Verily, I say unto thee, rowing shouldst thou choose.

Looketh now at thy majick beeping box in thy hand, which shouldst be pointing northwest. Shouldst thou follow the majick arrow contained within? Nay! Rather, shouldst thy venture south, then a bit west, for about a mile, to the waypoint labeled "Snake Creek South", for it be here that thy quest truly begineth.

Manipulate yon buttons on thy majick box, tilst it doth point thee to the posted coordinates for Stage One. Thy majick box may fibbeth at ye, telling thee that thy journey shalt only lasteth 6/10th of a mile. Ha! Verily, it is sooth, thy journey shalt actually be almost thrice as far, as yon creek winds like the serpent from which it wast nameth. Here, shalt thou findeth yon venerable soda bottle preform. A fallen giant from days of yore lies slain uponeth the ground near yon preform. I beg thee, climbeth not upon the fallen, lest thou breaketh the shell which ist aught which remaineth of the stricken Ent.

Once thou locateth yon preform, and cypher how thy shalt retrieve it, thou shalt  find within a white hollow stick with properties most amazing. The natives of this land called the material from which yon stick be composed "Pee-vee-sea", though our most cunning linguists knowest not where the name cometh from. Upon yon stick shalt thou findeth numbers, which thou shouldst enter into thy majick box, to continue thy quest.

Once again, a decision ist upon thee. The waypoint thou entered tellest thou that thy goal is but half a mile south by southwest of thee, with many a moist swampy pace betweeneth thee and thy goal. Shouldst thou row, or shouldst thou wade? Me thinkest that rowing wouldst prove the wisest course, for many fell beasts await thee shouldst thou wadeth. A dire fate indeed. But the choice be thine to make.

Shouldst thou choose rowing, and shouldst thou selecteth a northern passage, thou shalt arrive at the waypoint labeled "Picnic Oak", a most relaxing place whereth thou mayest stretch thy legs whilst taking repast, consuming much snackage in a noble bid to regain thy energy. Once thy belly be sated, and thy bladder be emptied, continueth thou northwest to Hontoon Dead River, then turneth thou south.

Proceedeth south tilst thou see yon canal, which shalt lead you further along your way. When thou reacheth yon final, seeketh thou for an ammo can. Thou shouldst egress thy craft with care, lest thy findeth thee afflicted by the dreaded plant with leaves of three, which scholars of old railed against. The journey through yon canal shalt be fraught with peril and hardship, as Gaia seeketh to ensnare thy vessel with all manner of foul aquatic vegetation. But push on thou shouldst, for thou shalt arriveth at the blessed Black Lagoon, a place most lovely to behold.

Having found yon ammo can, thou mayeth push through to the east end of yon canal, where thou shalt find the river of Saint John again. From there, tis but a relaxing drift back to yon starting point.

Knowest thee that cavorting about in paddle craft requireth thee to have a noise producing device such as a whistle, and a PFD, which must be kept handy. Shouldst thou chooseth to proceedeth without yon requirements, thou mayeth be cited by the DEP Law Enforcement Officer who stalketh yon boat ramp.

Thou hast been warned.

Verily, tis sooth, thou shouldst also bring a change of garments, lest thou faceth a wet ride back to thy castle. Further, shalt thou bringeth a pokey stick, a hat, bug spray, lots of water, spare batteries, footwear which can get wet, a cell phone and snacks. Sandals and Crocs are right out.

Haveth fun, and don't getteth thou eaten.
