Route 10, convenient parking area at the trail head. This trail takes about an hour to get to the top.
Just off Route 10 in Winchester you'll find a convenient parking area at the trail head. This trail (May be ticks) was made by the local boy scout troupe and is a little hard to follow in the beginning crossing two small bridges before getting to the base of the mountain. (Bridges require care when crossing) There are two trails up, the first one is steep and more direct, straight up the side of the mountain, the other more leisurely with switchbacks. It takes about an hour to get to the top. With views (with no leaves) of Forest Lake to the south, and Ashuelot River to the west its an easy climb except for the parts that aren't.
