Geocache Description:

A series of 3 new caches to go with one older cache on small spoil islands located on the Intracoastal Waterway between Innerarity Point and Perdido Key.

Spoils from dredging the waterway have created 4 spoil islands on the south side of the channel. The 2 eastern most islands are in Florida waters with the 2 western most in Alabama waters. See Goggle Earth for a good view of the area.

There is already a cache on the eastern most island (Deserted Island GC313RQ)

So to turn this into a great Kayak, Canoe or Boat run I have placed a cache on each of the other 3 islands.

You can launch at the free ramp at the south end of Galvez Rd.
30 18.825N,087 26.521W.

CAUTION

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO SWIM ACROSS THE WATERWAY.

SEVERAL DROWNING'S HAVE OCCURRED HERE.

Bring your pen and twezzers.

Before or after your adventure you can stop at Hub Staceys at the Point loacted at the landing for great sandwich's and cold beverages.

Intracoastal Spoil Island #4 is the smallest of the 4 islands and now after being completely washed over by several storms which have removed all of the small trees and bushes and have left basically nothing but sand, grasses and briars. The last two cache containers went with the bushes and trees. So now the cache location has been relocated a short distance to a more central part of the isle.

The cache container is now a natural object that blends into setting and hopefully will last through the summer storms.

CONGRATULATIONS TO MONKEYMO FOR FTF ON ALL 3 OF THE SERIES.
