Geocache Description:

Please bring your own pen!

This is one of 36 Girl Scout geocaches that will be placed in Nassau County representing the 36 Girl Scout Councils in the county.

The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest award a girl can earn in Girl Scouting. For my own Gold Award, I thought it would be a great idea to use geocaching to showcase other girl's Gold Awards.

In 2004, Susan Olsen, from the WARM association earned her Gold Award by, creating books on tape for children in the Child Life Center at Winthrop University Hospital.

Please note that over the years, the requirements to earn this award have changed.
