Central park may be the crown jewel of Roseville parks, but Reservoir Woods is the hidden gem. This Whereigo will take you on a fairy tale adventure in this wild, lovely park. Expect a 1.5-2.5 mile hike (depending on choices within the game) and 1-2 hours for this adventure.
Whereigo caches require a compatible device. Most smart phones (Android and iPhone), certain Garmin GPSr's (Colorado or Oregon), and tablets (Android and/or iPad) are compatible. Android has a couple specific quirks - please contact me if you would like assistance. GPS drains phone batteries quickly - I suggest a full charge and/or supplemental power.
Please plan for weather and being in the woods for 1-2 hours - I recommend water and bug spray, depending on season. Reservoir Woods is dog-friendly (leashes & cleanup required) and hours are dawn to dusk. There are no restrooms or water fountains - please plan ahead. Cache is meant for hiking, but may be possible on mountain bikes. Please watch for tree roots! The route is fairly flat, but there are a few steep spots (hence the terrain 3 rating). There are no trail maps. but the cartridge has been planned to help you make the circuit without too much guesswork.
All destinations should be accessible from established trails, with the exception of a few feet near the final cache. Please do not bushwhack. The park is open and used year-round. This cache is not marked as available in winter, but may be possible with some added difficulty. If playing while there is deep snow, please contact me for additional information. There are many other caches in Reservoir woods - please consider taking a couple hours or even making a day of it!
