This is one of my favorite fishing spots on the lake. Unfortunately, the only fish in the lake are kokanee, rainbow and possibly some cutthroat (I prefer bass and the like). There are actually two kinds of rainbow, though: regular fish and triploids, genetically sterile rainbows that grow big and aggressive. It's a nice place to hang out on a warm summer evening when you've got nothing better to do. As such, this cache is fishing based.
I found this spot on the first day of the season last year. That sort of surprised me; until I came across the spot, every single spot of shore was occupied. When I started to fish, I got a nice triploid within the first half hour. I then got another one, but when I unhooked it, clumsy me let it get away back into the water. The original cache is stocked with the log and some fishing lures and hooks (but no writing stick). I'd like the items in the cache to be at least fishing related, but preferably fishing gear. If you enjoy fishing, bring your pole and tackle and stay awhile (just make sure you have your license and it's actually fishing season). And if you need some hooks or whatnot, feel free to dig into this cache for some tackle.
