This area is by far my favorite place on the whole Centennial Trail. Not only is it beautiful and magical, it also gives me a smile, and I hope it gives you one, too! As I was standing near the cache, I saw TEN trees smiling back at me. How many will you see? Turn away from the river and look across the trail toward the house, and you’ll see my favorite smiles. Which one do you like best? Look all around as you walk here, or you’ll miss some!
I sat on the ground at the cache spot, leaning my back against a rock, at sunset, tonight. The sky was orange, and the water was that silver reflective color that always fascinates me as the light of day fades. The river was murmuring by and around the bend toward the sunset. I could have sat there forever, watching and listening. It is very peaceful here. When you sit at the cache spot you’re even out of sight of the nearby house.
Cache has been moved closer to river, so PLEASE be careful at GZ. You can still sit on the rocks above & enjoy the views & smiles.
