BE AWARE OF SMALLER, SAPLING TREES AS MOST HAVE THORNS!!! P&G. Cache is in tree behind historical marker. Look for a camo container that does not leave the tree. Bring writing tool. Room for small TB's and trade items. Top pops off. Please remove/replace carefully so not to break. Enjoy!
Tree has lots of branches, so spotting cache and getting to it may be more challanging during some seasons of the year. Parking area is well off of US-56, safe area for pets and kids traffic wise. Be alert for snakes and tickets in warm weather. Lots of wild trukey, pheasent, deer and other wild life, so photo opp is possible! If snow or rain in last few days, may want to pass as parking area may be soft or slick. If cache needs repair, please let me know. No writing tools in cache please, leaves more room for trade items and TB's. Enjoy!
Not much challenge here as I make my P&G for this group easy. This is part of a up and coming group of caches by historical markers for the Santa Fe trail. Caches will be as close by markers as possible so you can have time to read them and enjoy the area. Learn more about the trail by visiting both the Santa Fe Trail Center and Fort Larned National Historic park. Both are west of Larned on K-156. Caches will range from micro to large and size for each will be noted. Please stay on puplic side of fences and CITO. Beware of ticks and snakes in warm weather. Wildlife are possible, so have camera handy. Several caches available in Larned, Garfield, Kinsley and near by area. Cache on!
