One of Washington’s historic churches, Ebenezer Baptist on US 78 E, is located in the Aonia community. The name comes from 1 Samuel 7:12 meaning “rock of help”.
Georgia granite from Elberton, where many interesting caches can be found, forms the Rock marker in front of Ebenezer. Locate other geocaches in and enjoy historic Washington while geocaching in this area.
