To get to this cache it is best to head down to the beach then take the trail along the shore to the right. Steer clear of the ropes course above this area as there are no trespassing signs around it.

This cache was named Myths of Darrah because there have been a couple of myths connected with the Darrah Pond area for many, many years. One is that there is a bus located somewhere at the bottom of the pond. I don't know how it got there or if it's even true. Another is that the area is haunted and it is said that if you visit on a warm Summer evening you might hear the sound of a young boy calling for help from the water...(Spooky) Let us know if you hear anything!! This area used to be a camp for Jewish boys back in the early 1900s. Perhaps there was a casualty way back then??
It is also home to Talent Hall where various recreational functions occur throughout the year. Another name it goes by is Roy Memorial Park with it's beautiful athletic fields and x-country trails in the Winter.
Another tidbit of information is that there is a band named Darrah that is comprised of local young men who grew up in Litchfield. They formed the group when they attended Campbell High school here in Litchfield several years ago and they still perform today at various clubs in the Manchester and Nashua area and my son, Musicman1188 is their drummer and also co-owner of this cache. Their original name was Myths of Darrah.
When I asked for permission to place a cache here they informed me that permission was not needed as it was a public park but they did thank me for informing them that this activity would take place here and didn't have a problem with it.
Although the sign at the entrance says residents and guest only, I will consider you our guests and trust that you will behave as all good cachers do.

Look for a small lock and lock container, big enough for a small log book and small swag.
