A relatively easy multicache. Not for the fainthearted though. Your first waypoint has the coordinate for a very nearby worthwhile cache to log and a few lucky and unlucky trading items. This is only a 2 point multicache.
No superstition is so strong or so wide as the belief that 13 is unlucky. From Argentina to New Zealand, Scotland to Siberia, the numeral 13 brings shudders of foreboding.
Some say 13 is unlucky because of Norse mythology when an uninvited guest at the table of the gods caused one god to kill another. Some believe it was because of Christ’s last supper, when the 13th person was Judas Iscariot who later betrayed Jesus. Some say it is because the traditional hangman’s noose has 13 turns, anything less would not snap a human’s neck.
The effects of this superstition are far reaching, hotel guests will often refuse to stay in room 13, hospital patients finding themselves in bed 13 feel doomed, office blocks commonly have no 13th floor, and many passenger aircrafts have no row 13.
Other superstitions include fears of Black Cats, Walking under ladders, Horseshoes, Rabbits’ Feet, Breaking mirrors and more.
Do people nowadays believe in this? I don’t believe in superstition, but some people do. So I guess this multi-cache in not for the faint hearted, but only for the brave, or those who like me, do not believe in superstition.
WARNING: this area does have a few thorns, however if you look at your surroundings and keep in mind that I too do not like going through thorns you will realise there is always a route around the prickly subject.
This area currently has had slow but sure efforts to erradicate the alien vegatation.
