The Bradwell Man :
On November 14, 1936 Pius Fischer discovered human skeletal remains during excavations at a gravel pit located South of the village of Bradwell. The R.C.M.P. were contacted and they in turn requested assistance from Professors Vigfusson, Edmunds, Jackson and Spinks of the University of Saskatchewan (also founders of The Saskatoon Archaeological Society). A field visit to the site to examine the remains resulted in identification of the skeletal remains as those of a Neolithic male (10,000-4500 B.C.). Unfortunately much of the original site was excavated and the burial site details destroyed, but a stone scraper and eagle talons were also found at the site.

The find was documented in an article which appeared in the Journal of American Antiquities (now The Society of American Archaeology). This was a significant historic Archaeological find and record of the early inhabitants of Saskatchewan.
The cache is hidden near the site of the original find. You as a cacher and amateur Archaeologist are tasked with recreating the original field discovery and documenting your find and observations in the cache log book (and on-line). Be sure to wear appropriate field clothing suited to your expedition and adventure.
Good luck and thanks for caching with us.. Remember this cache was placed for the SCAR2012 Event (Saskatoon Cache and Release), and should not be sought out until after 5:30pm on May 25th, 2012 and any logs before that date/time will be deleted...
