ABANDONED FARMHOUSE

This derelict building stands near the junction of Weston Street with Avalanche Road.

There is something fascinating about abandoned houses - who owns it? Why is it being left to fall down? Will it ever be renovated?

Comparing the above pictures from 1990 (left) and 2007 (right) show that some work has been done to stabilise the structure.

There is little left of the ancient walls to this building - a just a few large stone blocks precariously balanced on each other. That rusting old rotavator won't be up to the job of clearing this abandoned garden!
