This one is placed along the peninsula’s outer coast between South Bay and Millin Bay.
This cache is my way of honouring the memory of a neighbour and family friend Fanny Marr that used to live here but has recently passed away. She used to live in the white bungalow at the end that you will pass.
She bought a ruin back in 1963 and with the help of friends and work colleagues fixed it up.
We met Fanny about 22 Years ago when my family bought the boat house next door. I spent many happy summers down here.
We have since sold the house to my aunt.
Fanny spent her time between here and her house in Belfast. she was well known in the area and in the shops she could often be seen speeding about in her Toyota with the numberplate 2 XZ.
Never married, she was very independent and was always surrounded by friends. she was the sort of person that when you met her as a child you stayed intouch as an adult. She had more friends and knew more people than anyone else I know.
That said she had a handyman for everything and had acting the "little old lady" down to a tee.
She is very much missed by all who knew her.
You can park at either of the listed parking waypoints depending on what other caches you are doing in the area.
When you find it please take care to leave it exactly as you find it, making sure that no part of it can be seen by any passing muggles.
