Offset cache in the woods near The NYS Barge Canal. Bring your fishing pole. Please don't ask the lock attendant about the cache.
The IP (Initial Point) is in a picnic area on the South side of one of the locks. Caution! Do not cross the lock gates! Stay clear of the locks. Use the foot bridge on the East end of the lock. Failing that, go to the alternate parking site at N 42d 48.255', W 73d 42.851'. Don't block the gates. Walk East to the cache coordinates. Now, take a bearing of 267 and go .10 mile to the corner of a gravel parking area. Now take a new bearing of 194 and go about .12 mile into the woods. You are there! The cache is well hidden.
