Bigger and Better???? Rest Area in the Athenree Gorge.
The new rest area to replace the one that is just down the road. Now able to take any size of vehicle from car to large truck.
Tables here for you to sit and have lunch or sign the log book.
Bring the kids to play in the stream below the area.
Can be busy at times.
Is it better than the old rest area. I'm not sure.

Forestry Owners of land along road have made a mess of the area cutting down trees and removing tables and spoiled the area with their rubbish ( Same as they did in the rest area down the road, )
Parking area still useable.
