Flint Island View

Wreck Point, Cape Breton Island

A Celebration of MineRP's 10,000 cache

A Great hiking area at any time of the year. Great views of Flint Island and it's Lighthouse. Please be cautious around the cliffs, banks are unstable, and there are very few locations to get acess to the shoreline. I include a waypoint ( CS ) where it is reasonably safe to get down to view a coal seam and some bootleg workings. The trail along the last 1\3 of the southern side of the head is getting a bit grown in and lots of windfalls are down, but still exceptable, there can be a few swampy area here also. Please stay well away from the Mine site. Take a lunch to enjoy at the point.
