Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden in Miller Park in Utica. It is a small cache with small swag inside.

This is a historic location of Utica Glass Company one of the 4 glass factories that made Utica a popular city to live in back in the late 1800's early 1900's. The glass factories here made window glass. Some of the older homes still have some of this glass in their windows today.
There is a display at the Hufford Museum on Main St. with some of the tools and glass items that were used and produced. (The museum is only open on Sundays from 2-4.)

This cache is hidden in a location that gets a lot of traffic in the summer from baseball. Super stealth is required. Park closes at dark. There are 2 picnic shelters and a playground.

Here is a list of other glass factories that were in Utica until 1929/1930.
Central Glass Co.
Licking Glass Co./Coral Erie (Licking went out of business and Coal Erie took it over.)
Cathedral Glass/Advanced Glass Co. (After it burnt down in Utica it moved to Newark and they renamed it the Advanced Glass Co.)

Happy Hunting!
