This cache is placed where Matlock Creek flows into Tusquittee Creek. The first gold found in Clay County is rumored to have been found here.
While scouting this location for the cache, we did not find any gold, but it is still a beautiful area and we enjoyed just sitting down at the confluence of the two creeks and watching and listening to the water flow.
The terrain is fairly level, but there will be some bushwacking to get to GZ, especially during the summer.
