Lookcharlie: Apparently this one has gone missing. I used to go through here about 6-7 times a year to call on customer accounts in Ocean Shores and Long Beach. Not so much anymore so It is difficult to perform maintaince on this cache so I am going to archive this one. It had a good run. Thank you to all who found it.

Geocache Description:

We take this short cut through McCleary about twice a month to and from Aberdeen where we work on accounts. On the way we try to look for caches and it has come to our attention that there are not very many here in town, so we thought we would place one here for all our fellow Geocachers.

The story: We placed a cache in town a while ago and went home to publish it and could not because to our surprise it was to close to another one. I had checked before we went out and there were none nearby. Apparently some one placed a cache the same day and got home to published it before I could get mine published. We placed the cache here instead for no other reason than we could not place it there. The History: The town was founded in late 1898 as a logging camp and incorporated on January 6th 1943. McCleary is most famous for its Bear Festival which is held on the second weekend in July. If you would like more information on the town or the festival go the McClaeary Web page at http://www.cityofmccleary.com Cache contains only a log so you need to bring something to write with. There is a nice little lapel pin for the first to find.
