Geocache Description:

Maunawili Falls trail

MAUNAWILI FALLS TRAIL CLOSED FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

Planned to be reopened in mid-2023

https://dlnr.hawaii.gov/blog/2021/07/08/nr21-131/

The caches and falls on this trail are still accessible. It is a longer hike. I rather like it but "smart" is never the first word used to describe me.

Do a little research of the Maunawili Demonstration Trail before starting this adventure.

Message me if you have more questions.

Long-term parking is not permitted at the overlook and hikers must be dropped off. N 21° 21.910' W 157° 46.784'

This is one of the best hikes on Oahu. Maunawili is not a hard hike unless its raining (usually is) because the trail gets slippery. Over the past few years the traffic on trail has increased more than nature can repair. If you do choose to find this cache please tread lightly. There are a good number of other caches that can be done along the way so start early and make a day of it. Congrats to CelticGaurdian and GreyGhosts54 on there FTF.

If you do not find my cache do not replace it without my permission. You are setting up others to fail at finding the correct container.
