Geocache Description:

When we first saw this, we thought somebody really messed up. so we did some research.

Being a Texas history buff I was surprized that I didn't know of this flag. The first Lone Star Flag of Texas was created by Sarah Dodson and presented to her husband Archelaus, a member of the Texas Volunteers. at the meeting of the The first Constitutional Convention where Texas declared her Independence from Mexico at Washington on the Brazos on march 2, 1836. Archelaus's company marched under the Dodson Flag to San Antonio, and they fought under this flag during the siege of San Antonio and the Texan's recapture of the Alamo.
