Geocache Description:

On the North-East side of Smith Lake, mild terrain.

The Town of Smith Lake has a weird history. The town has been burned down 3 times by its own townspeople and is no longer standing. They would get mad at one another and torch each others buildings. A few men from the surrounding area got the idea to go out and find the town’s cemetery. They found a few graves and they have put a memorial out by the lake where the cemetery was located. There is not one building that remains standing to this day, that is from the Town of Smith Lake. Have fun!!!
