Geocache Description:

You can park your car in the public car park at N 51° 37.980 W 000° 34.180 which is free for the first hour and free all day Sunday (at time of publishing).
The geocache is accessible by wheelchair from the High Street if required.

This Geocache is placed on a public footpath easily accessible from the High Street. The geocache is best accessed from the path, so please don't enter the churchyard unless you are visiting the church.

As you leave the High Street through the passage, you will note the Grade II listed Lynchgate on your left, This was originally sited in the passage but was moved to its present position in 1920’s.

Chalfont St Giles Parish Church was originally built between 1150 and 1180 but has been extended over the years. The church contains early 14th century wall paintings which were rediscovered in the early part of last century.

Continue along the footpath past the Lynchgate (without entering the churchyard) in the direction of the geocache hide. The footpath continues to Stone Meadow behind the church, which was used as a temporary camp for Cromwells troops after the battle for Aylesbury.

BYOP (Bring Your Own Pen).

This is our first Geocache we've set out, so if you like it, award a favourite point and we could be persuaded to set out more!
