Geocache Description:

CITO esemény a Föld Napja alkalmából Budapesten 2012.04.22
Earth Day 2012 - Budapest, Hungary and the 10 th annual International CITO weekend.

A Hahó egyesület és a DINPI a Föld Napja alkalmából ismét szemétszedést-szervez a Pál-völgyi-barlangrendszerben és annak felszíni védterületén.
Időpont: 2012 április 22. de. 10 órától.

Idén két fő célja lesz a takarítási akciónak:
1.) a Pál-völgyi kőfejtő felső teraszán lévő zöldterület megtisztítása

A barlangban barlangjáró tapasztalattal rendelkező résztvevők fognak dolgozni a felszíni szemétszedéssel párhuzamosan.

Aznap lesz a DINPI Föd Napi rendezvénye is a Pál-kőfejtőben, lesznek családi- és gyerekprogramok is - tehát mindenképpen várjuk a gyerekeket is!

CITO begins on 22/04/2012 at 10 am.
This event has 2 main goals in terms of CITO.
First goal is for 'ordinary' geocachers who taking part in Cache In Trash Out (CITO) events and helping to preserve the natural beauty of our outdoor resources through litter clean up, removal of invasive species, planting trees, and trail building.
Second goal in this particular case is to clean off graffiti from the walls of the nearby Pálvölgyi-cave.
Difficulty level reflects the overall difficulty taking into account the difficulty of the unpaved pathways of the cave.
We do not expect geocachers to have enough expertise in caving, however such a coincidence is a definitive advantage at some caches. Moreover volunteer cavers were advised to report their intent previously at Hungarian caving association. That is why geocachers are primarily invited to CITO event at the surface and not to descend into any cave.

Excerpt from Groundspeak Weekly Newsletter for 11 April 2012 to 18 April 2012.

Thousands of geocachers walk into parks, onto trails, and visit other geocaching-friendly areas around the world to clean up the environment each year. CITO events are held all year long, but you'll have more than 140 to choose from on April 21 and 22 — the 10 th annual International CITO weekend.

This year, more than a thousand geocachers from at least 15 countries are combining in the annual worldwide environmental effort. The locations range from Budapest to Hong Kong, and include 32 U.S. States. Odds are one of the CITO events is near you.
