Geocache Description:

This is the middle cache of three that shows where a glacier ended and therefore left a row of boulders called "glacier erratics"; "flyttblokker" in Norwegian. There is no clear trail leading to this cache, but check out waypoints for trail info.

If you stood here about ten thousand years ago, you would be looking at a huge glacier stretching out to the east. The glacier left a row of huge boulders along the east side of Vettakollen and there are now three caches placed to encourage you to take a walk along the glacier-ridge. It will give you an impression of the length of the row of boulders. You can start at the south or north end.

The best part is from the south end and to the impressive collection of huge boulders marked by a waypoint in the middle cache. Further to the north the boulders are farther between – and you can also find boulders further north than the last cache, so keep on walking if you are interested :-)

The assoicated caches are:

The waypoints show you points of interest along the route, and there are paths leading you one the way almost everywhere, except, perhaps close to the middle cache, and definitely not the last part to the northern cache. If you find a nice boulder you want to give a name, log the coordinates and the name, and perhaps also a photo, and I’ll include it in the cache waypoints with appropriate credentials!

The cache is a PET container - BRING YOUR OWN PEN. I encourage you to have enough time to following the boulders rather than chasing after caches ;) so I decided to not include any FTF presents. The series is placed as an Easter present to slow cachers spending Easter in the Oslo.
