Geocache Description:

This cache is part of a series of 14 caches around the Marshside Wetlands, this circular walk should take about 1hr 30mins. There is a car park across the road, please use the pedestrian crossing to cross over.

The cache is placed at Junction Pool Hide which has good hard paths to it suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs. Wheelchair users may need assistance retrieving the cache from its spot. Please rehide well as this is a high muggle zone, thanks :)

There's something for everyone all year round at this delightful coastal reserve. In the spring you can see brown hares boxing in the fields, while in the early summer you'll spot nesting birds like avocets and lapwings. During the winter months the skies fill with visiting waterfowl such as pink-footed geese and wigeons, not to mention birds of prey that can set flocks wheeling over the marshes.

There are two hides, a viewing platform and three viewing screens.

The following link will provide you with all the info you need on the birds and wildlife at the reserve, plus events and handy tips if you are new to bird watching...

Whilst doing this cache you can help with conservation by observing a few simple rules:
1, Please keep dogs under close control or on leads and please clean up there mess.
2, Please do not disturb the wildlife, keep people and dogs out of the slacks (breeding pools) in spring and summer.
3, Please take any litter with you, there are bins on the car park.
4, Please keep small children supervised at all times

PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON THE ROAD, this is a very fast and busy stretch of the Coastal Road. There is a car park across the road which is free all day. There is a pedestrian crossing to get you back on the right side.

The cache is a small clip lock box which will hold small trackables and coins. You will need to bring your own pen. Please place back exactly where found so the cache doesnt get disturbed by litter pickers and volunteer tidy uppers

Happy caching!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON THE ROAD, THERE IS A FREE CAR PARK NOT 50M AWAY FROM THE CACHE. THE ROAD IS NOT SAFE TO PARK ON!!!! I HAVE BEEN CONTACTED BY THE RSPB ABOUT THIS AS PEOPLE ARE PARKING ON THE GRASS VERGE AND DAMAGING THE KERBS. IF PEOPLE CONTINUE TO PARK ON THE ROAD THE CACHE WILL HAVE TO BE ARCHIVED. THIS IS A VERY POPULAR CACHE AND IT WOULD BE ASHAME TO HAVE TO ARCHIVE IT BECAUSE CACHERS CANNOT ABIDE BY THE RULES. USE THE CAR PARK, THANKS

Congratulations to gwigg on your first ever FTF
