Geocache Description:

Although the days of the railway are long gone by it's story is still in everybodies mind.

Along the former route from Valletta to Mtarfa you will find very different pieces of evidence like tunnels, bridges, flowerpots, embarkments, station buildings and an old carriage at the Birkirkara station.

Find out more more about the history and if you are interested visit the Department of Information in Valletta. They do have an interesting DVD for sale. It's called „The Malta Railway“ and there is a maltese and an english version available.

At the given coords you will find one of the station buildings. Look out for an eight letter word.

Using their numerical equivalent multiply the letters 7 and 8. Add the letters 4, 6 and 1 and subtract the third.

The result is the number of meters you have to walk in the middle of the road. Same direction as the British soldiers did to get to their quarters after arriving here ending their days duty.

Good luck!
