The Great Outdoors: Read an article in the paper that a Girl Scout is widening and improving trails in this park, our cache seems to get waterlogged a lot, so archiving and after trails are done we will place a new one in the park.

Geocache Description:

The previous caches that we've had here had to be archived as the trails have been blocked by numerous trees that fell during the October snow storm.

Spice Bush Swamp is such a hidden gem of a park that we felt that it deserves a cache, even though this is the third time we've had to relocate one.

There are benches to sit on & well-maintained bridges & boardwalks through the park. It looks as if some tree and branch removal has been started and some of the trails are being cleared of debris. This cache can be accessed by walking from the parking lot to part-way around the pond and walking on the boardwalk located at 41.45.573 072 45.895. If you have small children with you watch their footing as you walk around the pond. The cache is located a short way off a side trail-there is no tree debris in this area.Fishing is allowed at the pond for children 12 years of age and younger. This whole park has been known to flood when there is days of heavy rain, so the area may be muddy at times. After finding cache please re-hide and cover well.
