Geocache Description:

THis cache was designed For the small geocachers in Mind. It is easily located and a " QUICK" find. This isolated area is home to a Soccer camp that I attend with kids 5 times a year. The place it is hidden is a GEM in the middle of Nowhere it would seem.
Take a picture of Captain Gregory Woldecks gravestone and post it!
Happy Hunting!!!

I sometimes get sent to isolated places and because I like to geocache it can be frustrating to not have enough in one area. So I am starting the BKT Series. I learned about Geocaching at my Berlitz camps 4 years ago and still love doing it to this day.
THIS CACHE:
The Village Church, 1541 Mother Church, from 1648 Mater vagans was supported by Karwe, Wustrau, Radensleben and Neuruppin.
This is taken from the website about the area. Have a look around and discover an area you might have overlooked:
With its church tower and farmhouses, it steps out of the reeds and forest as a special ornament of the lakeside. Theodor Fontane wrote about the pictoral ribbon-street village. Gnewikow is about seven kilometers southeast of Neuruppin and is picturesquely situated on the eastern shore of the Lake Ruppin.

The village church dates from the first half of the 16th century and is a small building of field stones with a three-sided choir and a watchtower. In the church cemetery lies the weathered and barely decipherable grave stone of a Captain Gregory of Woldeck (1667-1735). From 1307 to 1850 Gnewikow belonged to the Woldeck family. The aristocratic family had single story mansion built in 1800, which the new owners finally decorated in 1870 with late-classical facades.

In 1947 Gnewikow became state property and was a vocational school until 1990. Today the former International Youth Village of Gnewikow invites girls and boys from all over the world to explore, play and participate in sports activities at Ruppin Lake. In the center of the former Youth Village is the reconstructed farmhouse, which now serves as a hotel and restaurant.

ATTN: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO GO INSIDE THE CHURCH!! It is located outside... No need for Opening hours...

BIG BIG BIG Congratulations to funboarder as FTF!!!
