This cache has been archived.

Julie&GGs: Co visited GZ this am and the cache has indeed been muggled. Due to deterioration of the cache hide caused by age and also the fact that the Western Water is going to develop the area it is time to archive this cache.

Geocache Description:

Gisborne is an historic town, in the Mount Macedon Ranges, 55kms north west of Melbourne. Its countryside location and proximity to Melbourne has made it a poplular place to live. It is an attractive village, with street plantings of European trees, which are at their best in Autumn and Spring. It was originally an argricultural district.

The Botanical Gardens include a New Zealand corner which reflects the relationship with the sister town in the Shakey Isles. Wineries are also nearby with the Cross at Mount Macedon and Hanging Rock not far away, where there are some lovely walks.

The rather new Mulbarton Estate nearby is a combination of two properties - "Mulguthrie" - last owned by the Waterton family and - "Dumbarton" - last owned by the Dixon family. One of the parks has many young eucalyptus trees with a creek and bridge. The majority of the houses in this estate have now been built.

NB. Parents please be aware there is a small pond nearby!

This is our 1st cache hide and as such is an easy one? The cache is sistema one with an interesting variety of "things" in it.
