Geocache Description:

a cache that i'm sure people will enjoy!

this cache is similar to another of my caches only with a twist, once retrieved please replace, alert me if anything goes wrong.

history:
this area was once home to a large stone circle that the locals called the frolic, it was removed and the area was quarried, many portlanders feared this area due to its association with rumored druidical sacrifices in this area, the area itself is called the grove due to it being the centre of druid interest on the island before all the standing stones, dolmens and stone circles were removed, further down grove road you will come to the YOI, in the wall along the cliff are some of the only standing stones left on the island.

the area is known as france quarries, i had no idea it even existed until a recent walk around the island, it seems very otherworldly with its eerie piles of stones.

hope you enjoy this one.
