Geocache Description:

This river is currently next to a large property development but once this development is completed, it should become a nice little walk or spot to eat your lunch.

The cache is placed on the paved side of the river.

Looking for someone to take ownership of this cache as I simply do not have the time to manage them anymore.

My first cache, This river is part of the network of rivers that flows through Canterbury and this footpath has only recently been built along with the development of Kingsbrook housing estate. A pleasant walk through from the nearby town center to the water mill that used to be downstream with plenty of benches to park your rear on and eat lunch whilst watching the wildlife going to and fro.

You'll find many ducks and moorhens along this route, usually flapping away in panic as you walk right over their nests.

The cache itself is a 35mm magnetic film cannister

Addendum:- there is still quite a lot of construction work going on nearby and so it's quite possible to get rumbled by a builder, I tell them that "I was walking past this spot last night and being a bit tipsy, I dropped my phone and wandered off, now I'm here to hopefully find it" That seems to bore them enough that they leave you to it.

I'm very pleased to see that this cache is popular with both locals and visitors alike!

Updated the spoiler to include an additional detail about accessing the cache - 20/09/2012
