Ammo box hidden less than 100ft off the trail.
This cache was formally Hay Man Hay hidden by Strawboy. Since Strawboy is now inactive, Trompin Trio has formed. This cache was over 350ft from the Trail and people said the coordinates were off.
So let's start new. This is a well stocked ammo box hidden in the traditional way. This is a fun family hike with few hills and a view of the lake the whole way.
Enjoy the ducks, the boaters, and the cache's along this pond. For those with kayaks, this is a fun flat water pond great for beginners.
One cool thing about Mono Pond is that people ice fish there in the winter. If you see them out, its fun to cache by crossing the pond via the ice. Remember - NO ICE FISHERS = NO WALKING ON THE ICE. Use your good judgement.
Great one with the kids but a few too many bumps for a jogging stroller. Primarily flat but roots and rocks have to be watched for. Nothing my 4 year old can't handle.
