Deeded to the College in 1881, the 120- acre Maryville College Woods is one of the most cherished areas of the Maryville College campus. It is also and area of great environmental importance, and is designed as an outdoor teaching laboratory for nature study by the State of Tennessee Forest Stewardship Council. Bisected by Brown Creek and Duncan Branch, the mature forest harbors a diversity of habitats, including temporary wetlands and spring seapage areas. With 120 acres of campus dedicated to the College Woods, there’s always a way to get-a-way for a hike or steal some time for reflection. And if 120 acres aren’t enough, there’s always the big back yard (aka, The Great Smoky Mountain National Park).
As for the cache. You are seeking a small container blended well with its background. This is a log only but you must BYOP. Please place back better than you found it and twist cap to keep the water out Thanks.
Happy Caching!!!
