Whilst in the middle of a pleasant bike ride on the Lafayette-Moraga trail, I noticed that my back tire was bulging. I loosened the brake mechanism a bit, then continued my ride.
After a few minutes, the bulge in the tire was now hitting other parts, slowing me down. I dismounted again, and inspected the tire. Wow--it really was bulging now, I wonder how----BOOM!
After my ears stopped ringing, I walked my bike to the nearby college and called my wife to "Come get me, my tire blew up!"
In honor of this untimely explosion, I placed this cache.
