Geocache Description:

Welcome to the West Shore Railroad SchuckTales and Mand'alor Geo-cache Series. We have designed this series of caches to include something for everyone. Some of the caches are micro's, but the majority of them are small or regular size containers. We wanted a wide variety of different hides. Some are easy, some are difficult, All of them should be enjoyable. We hope you enjoy the series.

The West Shore Railroad was the final name of a railroad from Weehawken, New Jersey, across the Hudson River from New York City, north along the west shore of the river to Albany, New York and then west to Buffalo. It was organized as a competitor to the New York Central and Hudson River Railroad, but was soon taken over by that company.

For more information about the West Shore Railroad please check out the article on Wikipedia - (visit link)

The cache you are seeking is the seventh in a series running from Rt 19 in Bergen NY west along the portion of the old West Shore Railroad currently owned by the Town of Bergen. You can find parking on the east side of Rt 19, or on the east side of West Sweden Rd. The container is small container with only a log andsome very smalltradable items for the kids. I don't expect you to have anything to leave, but the kids will be able to find some treasure hidden here. Please bring your own pen or pencil to sign the log.

We hope you enjoy your walk along the West Shore Railroad trail.
