This cache is located in the shadow of the tri-state metro area's only wind turbine.
The 260' tower can produce 3.3 giga-watt hours of electricity a year, enough to power up 600 single family homes per year. Find the cache though, on the "5th Street Walkway & Overlook," to understand the name of the cache. The walkway is opened "dawn to dusk, " although there is no gate to keep out foot traffic. A short walk down the path will lead to the Kill Van Kull, where the wrecks of a few old tall ships still sit in the water. Plenty of benches along the way for relaxing on warm weather cachings.
