Geocache Description:

This is a three stage multi located in the Andrea McKenna Harris Wetlands and Nature Trail. Parking and the trailhead are next to the New England Wildlife Center/Odd Pet Vet off of Columbian St. in South Weymouth.

Formally called the Andrea McKenna Harris Wetlands and Nature Trail, the area is named after a patron and friend of the New England Wildlife Center and officially dedicated on Oct. 27, 2007. Dr. Greg Mertz, Director of the Wildlife Center, graciously gave permission for this cache.

“The trail passes over and around a vernal pond that extends for more than two acres. Hikers can investigate the character of the red maple and tupelo wetland and a black, white, and chestnut oak upland.” For a pdf to learn more about the Andrea McKenna Harris Wetlands and Nature Trail click link. This three stage multi was inspired by a friend who is into birding. The final is inspired by one of my favorite Roosts that my friends birding trips exposed me to. If you have a device capable of reading QR codes you will be able to heighten (hopefully) your birding experience. However, reading the QR codes are not necessary to find the multi.

Note that there is a small area to right of the beginning trails that are "No Trespassing". Just stay to the left of the signs and you are on New England Wildlife grounds! None of the stages are on the “private property”.
