Geocache Description:




A classic legend has been told through the generations. In the hundreds of years it has been told, it has passed from story, to tale, to fable. It tells of a princess, long, long ago, who lived in the tallest tower of the biggest castle in all the land. One especially dark, cloudy night, she was snatched from her tower by the most fearsome dragon known to mankind. The spiked, winding beast bellowed in triumph, and disappeared into the darkness.

The bravest knights and warriors searched far and wide for the princess, all returning exhausted and empty handed. After many years, after all the strongest had given up hope, a lumberjack stumbled upon the lair of the nefarious dragon. With only his bravery and the might of his trusty axe, he chopped its thorny head from its long, hideous body. Remembering the tale told to him by his grandfather, he scoured the area, hoping to find the long lost princess. He, too, returned empty handed.

Hundreds of years later, a map was found, showing the place where the remains of that fearsome dragon still lay. It's possible that the princess could still be in the area, waiting for someone to save her. Are you brave enough to set out and find her?

(Please make sure to keep the cache well hidden and safe from muggles or competing dragons - it isn't easy to find a new princess if she gets stolen away!)
