Geocache Description:

I transformed a book from the Friends of the Library book store into a book safe with a hidden compartment! This ought to be relatively easy to find with my hints, just be aware of the library's hours of operation when seeking this cache.

I created this cache in honor of National Library Week! A few words about the North Tampa Branch Library: this library opened in 1964 in a small 3,500 square foot building. A few years ago, the original building was leveled, and on the same site, the gorgeous new 24,000 square foot branch was constructed, opening its doors to the community on September 18, 2009. Today, the library serves the community by lending out books and media, providing access to computers and downloadable media, and creating fun/educational programs for children and adults of all ages.

So, the cache itself: if you follow your GPS device, it ought to take you to an area of the collection where the box is hidden. The box is in fact a hollowed-out book sitting on the shelf amongst real books. If you're close, one of the library windows will be in your field of vision, literally within spitting distance. Turn to your left, and the attentive cache-seeker will find a book on the shelf with a spine label whose cutter number will be a dead giveaway. Turn to page 48 to reveal the hidden truth! If you're having difficulty, see the "Hints/Spoilers" section of the description.

One last note: be aware of the library's hours of operation when on your hunt: Mon 10-8 Tue 12-8 Wed 10-8 Thu 10-6 Fri 10-6 Sat 10-6 Sun 12:30-5
