Geocache Description:

Parking is available at "GC3GQKB Lilley Walk - Calling all cachers" and its a good place to start and finish. N 51° 56.016 W 000° 22.856
The Halfway refers to the fact its the 5th cache, still a bit of uphill walking from here I'm afraid
This is a medium click lock box in a camo bag. There is a pen, a small log and a few small swaps in the cache. There is a letter in the cache which you will need for the bonus. There was a TB here and I hope people will leave more

This is a lovely stretch and you can walk all the way to Pegsdon if you carry on from here.

You can also pick up Highfields Icknield Cache GC1GWMC next.
FTF was Pumpkin67 :D

The history of Lilley is long and fascinating, much of the village we see today is 250 years old at least but the area has been populated for much longer. The Roman Icknield Way passes just to the North of the village and it's reputed that there is an ancient temple along this route of some 5-6000 years old. This part of the walk passes the Icknield way.

There are also loads and loads of footpaths in and around Lilley, find a different route if you like, theres lots to choose from.
