Fitzcarraldos heritage
A long time ago in the days when Fitzcarraldo was crossing the Andes they came to a wall of stone where they noticed some enormous footsteps. (near by Sucre)
Fearfully they asked themselves if those creatures still live today there. They escaped to a mountain. When they came to the summit they decided to rest there and watch the area for dangerous animals. While they were watching a flock of wild sheeps ran a young sailor the ground. During the night he died. Fitzcarraldo was very sad and gave him a treasure into the grave beneath a stone shaped like a tear. Even today a lot of people visit the place in search for the treasure but nobody has found it till today. Good luck for you!!

El heramiento de Fitzcarraldo
En los anos cuando Fitzcarraldo estaba cruzando los Andenes con su barco llevando, llego al Valle del Sucre de hoy. Con horror notaron las huellas enormes en una pared de piedra parada. Tembleando se preguntaron si estas creatures monstrosas siguieron viviendo alla.
Se huyeron al cumbre de un cerro lejano para tener una mejor vista del terreno y los peligros cuales quizas habian. Mientras estaban vigilando alrededor de repente paso un grupo de obejas salvajes y pizaron en cima un marinero joven del grupo de Fitzcarraldo. El pobre no pudo salvarse y murio en la misma noche. La tristeza fue enorme de Fitzcarraldo y dejo un tesoro. Enterraron el joven marinero y su tesoro debajo una piedra con una forma de una lagrima.
El lugar todavia faszina a la gente, mas que todo en la semana santa. Mucha gente vino en busca del tesoro sin exito. Mucha suerte a ti!

Fitzgeralds Erbe
Es begab sich zu der Zeit als Fitzgerald mit seinem Schiff die Anden überquerte. Nach tagelanger Reise kam er an die Grenzen des heutigen Sucre. Voller Grauen malte er sich und seine Besetzung aus welche schrecklichen Kreaturen es hier wohl gäbe, die ihre Riesenpranken an einer Steinwand bei Sucre verewigt haben (noch heute kann man diese besichtigen!). Hastig flüchteten sie auf einen weitentfernten Berg, der heutige Calvario-Berg, um die Gegend von oben nach eventuellen Gefahren abzusuchen. Nahe der Bergspitze wurde ein kleiner Matrose beim Ausschauhalten von einer wilden Schafherde niedergerannt. In der folgenden Nacht erlag er seinen Verletzungen. Fitzgerald war über dieses Ereignis zutiefst erschüttert. Der kleine Matrose wurde unter einen tränenförmigen Stein begraben und Fitzgerald hinterließ ihm einen Grabschatz. Bevor sie diese Gegend verließen, zündeten sie noch Kerzen zum Gedenken des kleinen Matrosen an.
Noch heute übt der Ort eine starke Anziehungskraft auf die Menschen aus, die immer wieder auch Kerzen anzünden (vor allem in der semana santa!!) Viele suchten zu weil schon nach dem Grab des Verstorbenen mit seinen Schatz, jedoch erfolglos. Viel Glück!!!
