A cache at a picnic area and walk trail head
We came to visit Northcliffe during the school holidays and before leaving home i had a look to see what geocaches were available to find and saw that there were not a lot. Before leaving we made up a few containers ready to drop.
The cache is at a picnic area which has tables, toilet and a shelter
From the car park there are a couple of short walk trails you can take. It is also situated on the Bibbulmun Track.
****The GPS coords are only a rough guide due to the tall trees.*****
To find the cache, look for a very large old tree which has fallen down, it has a large fallen branch lying beside it and the root ball is burnt out. The cache is under the burnt end of this tree, look for a dead standing tree which has snapped off halfway up. Cache is covered in bark strips and a suspiciously neat pile of sticks.
The cache is a 1lt sistema box. Good luck.
