Geocache Description:

Our own lovable kangaroo is turning the big Five Oh and he's asked for a camping event for his birthday.

We'll be setting up camp at Roonka, South Australia with a kitchen, a bunk house, powered sites and unpowered sites available. More details will be posted as the event approaches but save the date and give us a 'Will Attend' log so we can provide the information to the camp organizers quickly.

The main event is Saturday, 28 April but we'll arrive friday night 27 April and leave Sunday, 29 April by 2pm. An itenerary will be posted soon.

Bring your camping gear, firewood (for a group campfire -- a trailer load would be nice if you have resources :-) ), your caching stories, your trackables and tradeables and don't forget your GPS!

UPDATE:

We have reserved 1 small kitchen and 1 Bunkhouse with 12 beds for friday and saturday nights. None of the 24 available powered sites have been reserved, and none of the 200 unpowered sites have been reserved. We can reserve the other available bunkhouse room with 12 beds if needed.

Fees:
Bunkhouse $8 per person per day
Powered sites $6 per person per day plus $8 per day per site for power
Unpowered sites $6 per person per day

Examples: 3 people in the bunkhouse will cost $24 per day, 2 people in a caravan with power will cost $20 per day, 4 people at an unpowered site will cost $24 per day, 1 person in a caravan with power will cost $14 per day.

Canoe hire is $16 per day and includes life vests and paddles.

Food:
We will supply breakfast for Saturday (bacon, eggs, tomato, baked beans and toast and possibly pancakes). Put your hand up if you will be joining us for that breakfast.

Other meals will be potluck with the group so bring your favorite dish! (In the kitchen we will have 2 gas stoves, a gas barbecue, an urn, and 2 refrigerators to aid in preparing meals. Dishes and cutlery are available as well.) We also will have our Weber and I'm sure a couple others will have barbecues as well.
